Inspired by the Japanese word “shiro”, meaning white, the Shiro Rainbow colour uses a pale, light-transmitting finish that creates a subtle shimmer similar to natural prey.

At 15cm and 45g, this version offers a manageable profile for medium-heavy predator tackle while retaining the realistic S-shaped swimming action of the larger Tommy the Trout models. The slow-sinking lure begins swimming at approximately 1.1 knots / 2km/h, allowing it to work naturally even at low retrieve speeds.

Use it on Irish lakes, rivers and canals where pike are feeding around weed edges, drop-offs, shallow bays or open water. The slow-sinking body gives good control over running depth, while the additional wire eyelet allows a switch weight to be fitted when wind, flow or deeper water requires a faster descent.

Key Features

Westin Tommy the Trout Inline

Length: 15cm

Weight: 45g

Colour: Shiro Rainbow

Slow-sinking design

Starts swimming at approximately 1.1 knots / 2km/h

Realistic S-shaped swimming action

Maintains its action at low retrieve speeds

Hyper-realistic trout profile

Subtle light-transmitting Shiro Rainbow finish

Real fish print colour technology

Hand-painted details

Hard foam core inside the head section

Reinforced mesh joints

Inline Rig System

Custom-made Westin release plug

Jointed Stinger HD

Ultra-sharp and strong carbon steel hooks

Additional wire eyelet for fitting a switch weight

Why It Works for Irish Anglers

The 15cm profile makes this Tommy the Trout particularly useful when pike are feeding on smaller prey or when a less imposing presentation is needed. Its 45g weight also makes it easier to cast and control than the heavier versions while still providing enough weight for fishing exposed lakes and breezy conditions.

The pale Shiro Rainbow finish is especially useful in clearer or heavily fished water where a softer, more natural presentation can be preferable to brighter patterns. The slow-sinking action lets anglers work the lure above weed and along shelves, while an added switch weight can take it deeper when fish move down in the water column.

Perfect For

Pike lure fishing

Slow-sinking swimbait fishing

Clear and pressured waters

Fishing weed edges and shallow bays

Lake and lough fishing

River and canal predator fishing

Slow retrieve techniques

Medium-heavy predator setups

Fishing deeper with an optional switch weight

Keywords

Westin, Westin Tommy the Trout Inline 15cm 45g Shiro Rainbow, Tommy the Trout Inline, Shiro Rainbow, pike swimbait, slow sinking pike lure, 45g pike lure, trout imitation lure, inline swimbait, pike fishing Ireland, lure fishing Ireland, fishing tackle Ireland, DuoHook.ie

Pick the Westin Tommy the Trout Inline 15cm 45g Shiro Rainbow from DuoHook.ie when you need a compact trout imitation that can be worked slowly above weed, through clear water and around cautious pike without losing its natural S-shaped action.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0307/4854/0972/files/p268-1695-292_le_f298be3d-9ce9-4de1-ae4a-7c66fe5446f5.jpg?v=1791561738
