Tench Fishing in Ireland: Groundbait Mix That Delivers

When it comes to tench fishing in Irish loughs, having the right groundbait mix can make all the difference. After extensive testing across multiple Irish waters, we've developed a highly effective blend that attracts tench consistently — and we’re sharing it with you here.

Why Tench Fishing in Ireland Is So Rewarding

Ireland's natural loughs are prime tench territory, with beautiful green-backed specimens hiding among lily beds and weed lines. These cautious fish respond best to a sweet and dark groundbait mix that creates a cloud of attraction and keeps them feeding confidently.

Whether you’re fishing for sport or just enjoying a peaceful session by the water, tench offer great action — if you can tempt them in!

  2. Prepare Aromix Liquid Mix
In a separate container, mix water with about 1/3 bottle of Sensas Aromix Chocolate. Stir well.

  3. Moisten the Groundbait
Slowly pour the Aromix water mix into the dry groundbait while stirring. Let it rest for 10–15 minutes, then mix again to ensure the perfect consistency.
